Camber Sands
Jurys Gap end (east) is designated for kiters, buggies, boarders and kite surfers. Traction activity banned from the central part of the beach. Watch out for - the wooden barriers further down the beach, walkers, kite eating dogs, pools left by the retreating tide. Dont scare the horses. A great spot at low tide stiff breezes are common.
1
Bretton Park
A perfect site for flying when you dont want to travel too far. The grass is completely football pitch quality, and there is plenty of room even if there is a football match or cricket match on. The wind can be a little choppy at times due to the trees but 9 times out of 10 this isnt a great problem. There are currently no restrictions so both landboards and buggys can be used, in fact we have even had a lovely young blonde police officer have a go before now

In the summer though the green keeper takes the posts down and its all one big cricket feild so theres alot of room around the outside
1

There are restrictions on Dollymount which apply to kiters on wheels; Please honour these, or risk losing this excellent urban beach. You must have insurance and a helmet, you must be a member of IPKA and display your plates. Buggying is permitted 2.5 hours either side of low tide. 1
Edinburgh Fields
There are about 4 football pitches on the site so kiting activities could be cut short if theres an official local league game on, the site is also in the middle of an housing estate so the wind can be a bit lumpy at times. There are 2 fields where flying is possible, on the football pitches (when empty) or at the back of the park by the little boating lake.

1
War Memorial Park (Football Pitches)
Very good, especially when the wind is NE and therefore the main Basingstoke site is not good (Crabtree). You do have to watch out for football matches which obviously stop the flying although there are actually 3 fields to choose from which shoudl provide decent wind in any direction, if you choose carefully.

Taylor Farm Park
This is one of the better parks that I have found in the Atlanta area. The location marker shows a field on the south side of the in-door court. This site works very well for Georgias South to N. West winds. Most other fields have problems with gusts and shifting winds, however, this field has very little obstacles up or downwind. When it blows, it blows steady. Grass is maintained fairly well, but ground is overall bumpy and does have some rocks.
1
Sutton Park
Great place has lots of wind
1
Lodge Moor
SKF site. Gusty in westerly winds.
1
Hamilton Gault Field
Little bit narrow, so needs the wind in the right direction (to be able to run west / east), so probably more suitable for static. Large trees at north side
1
Allonby
A great place to fly, does get busy near the village but the beach is vast so its easy to find a quiet spot. At high tide there is no beach so watch the tide times

Borough Hill
On top of a hill, the site of the old BBCs World Service transmitters; there is still one mast there which makes it easy to find on the East of Daventry Town. Daventry has easy access from the M1 motorway and the site access is via Admirals Way. The ground my be a bit rough for boards and Tikes plus cows are around on the odd occasion; the site is good for most wind directions.

1
North and South Sharm, Red Sea
South Sharm has good area for beginner kiteboarding as you can stand in the water to very far out. North Sharm has a good kitesurfing location for more advanced kiteboarders. Both places have flat beach area for kite landboarding.
1
Garons sports ground
Lots of people fly and board here also see buggiers out some days. It does get busy with kites and the wind can be gusty in some directions (not sure which, but its when it blows in from the sports ground end). there are signs to say that traction activities are not allowed but I think they only refer to the cricket ground, Ive never been asked to leave.
1
Uffington White Horse
Static flying only permitted
1

You have to go past the small bungalow after the farm, open the gate(if not already) then take the next field enterance on your left, there might still be some of the old sign on the post, follow track to the carpark at the end.... ENJOY

Widemouth Bay
Like most beaches its best in onshore winds. The beach is quite soft and not very good for boarding but fine for Buggies in low tide. Dogs are only allowed on one half of the beach during peak season. It has RNLI life guards in season and none out. There are no inflateables allowed in the sea at any time. It is a great kite for static flying. There are only a hand ful of kiters there, from buggying, static and a few kitesurfers. Lovely unspolit beach with Bude just 5mins away.

1
Uxbridge Common
Smooth, short grass. Theres a slight gradient with the NW slightly elevated.
1
Ocean Beach
Better in winter when the beach is quiet - beach can be crowded in summer. Best check for low tides to get the hard packed sand closest to the sea. Sand further inland is too soft for normal buggy tyres. When wind comes in directly off the sea you can get some excellent cruising up and down the beach!
1
Doran Beach
Check tides for best hard sand when tide is low. Sand is too soft beyond high tide mark. At low tide there is about a 30ft wide strip of hard sand along length of beach. Sunday mornings seem to be very quiet up until about 11am. Saturdays in Summer can be too busy for buggying.
1
Fallarsarna
Soft sand with a steady onshore breeze. Great for stunt kite..not enough space for buggy or board...

Aberavon beach
Rather a large beach with enough room to use at high low tide (maybe not extreem high?). Most locals use surfboards as the weapon of choice, due to the industries up the beach tourists dont seem to use it at all! Dog walkers do use it though (keep your eyes open for unpleasant suprises). There are hotels on the seafront - but not cheap. Camping is availible at Porthcawl. Not really a huge amount else here for non-kiters to do.
1
Broadhaven South
Great beach if you need to keep family happy whilst you fly - ideal for kids theres lots of walks for the restless. NOT GOOD FOR BUGGIES OR BOARDS. Wind is usually onshore, sand is soft - excellent for learning jumps or general skudding around. 3 main campsites to use - all are farmers fields. Cheapest is 1st 1 on way into village. 3 quid per night and easy to walk to pub - also has cold shower, others further and no showers.

Poppit Sands
An absolutly enormous beach at low and pretty big at high tide, with a large expance of empty flat sand patrolled by lifeguards looking after the odd kid on a lilo or two. Really only known by locals and people who have found it by accident. Dog walkers and occasional hardy soul swimming and a handfull of buggiers is all you have to look out for. Winds predominantly from the sea (W, NW). Well worth a detour if in the area.

Good location for kite surfing, warm shallow water. Beach kiting okay, however the sand is very soft and everyone parks on the beach itself. The beach is usually busier than the road....
1
Edenbridge Recreation Ground
Almost unknown to kiters. This is a lovely little place with unspoilt scenery and peace and quiet. Its totally flat and very well maintained. Grass is always cut short. Its best in a westerly wind direction. If you want to go for fast, long runs in your buggy or on your landboard, then its not really for you. Ive buggied there and 1 other kiteboarder uses it. Flanked on all sides by trees and some houses. The rec is divided in two, by a few large srubs, but you can cross it quite easily.

Hastings East Hill
Fantastic views of Hastings Old Town and upper field has not too many dog walkers. Lower field can be buisy with holiday makers in summer. Cliffs are behind shrubs and a fense so you should not end up in sea! OK for recreation flying (my thing) probably not for serious buggy use. Nice wind off the sea, wind shadow from cliff never seems to bad.

Delaney Park Strip
It is a long, narrow strip of land through downtown Anchorage. Has a veterans memorial, so there is a large flag for gauging wind. Few obstructions if the wind is right and a decent amount of open space. Popular with locals, though, so there could be others flying or playing frisbee or something.
1
Westbury White Horse
Very High
1
Field
This small field has nothing on it (except a few horses that arent the slightest bit bothered by kites). It has a bank on one end and the wind is disturbed if coming the other way by houses. HOWEVER its a decent little place if youre local. The local chavs and mini chavs are usually quite friendly/interested. If youre flying here give me a yell. Ill walk over!
